WELCOME TO GRAMOTHAN      |     A PATH OF VILLAGE'S EVOLUTION

We will first identify a village that needs to be developed. The next step would be to identify the areas in which the village is lagging and then create a plan of action for its overall development. This plan of action will be based on the culture of the village with an aim to preserve its rural face and not unnecessarily oblige it to follow a path of development that is suitable for cities. The aim is to work towards holistic and green development and that would ultimately lead to setting up schools, training of farmers in new technologies, encouragement of organic farming, vermiculture, use of natural fertilizers and natural pesticides, green technologies, gobar gas plants, creating health awareness, better farming techniques, improved irrigation methods, awareness programs for women, empowerment of women, health programs for women, child care facilities, insurance policies for farmers, for crops, for health, for protection of livestock—whatever it takes to develop that village. The aim would be to ensure that the village will have, at the barest minimum, self sufficiency in having a school, a hospital, a training center, library, internet centre and computer education facilities and Seed/sapling production units…

Sector wise goals:

  • Gram shiksha yojna

  • A. Padhna jaroori hai

    “Knowledge is itself power” Gandhi

This project is running the under “Gram shiksha yojna” “PADHNA ZAROORI HAI” is a slogan through which we reach the message of the importance of education to the children and mothers and fathers in the slum areas and the villages. So also through the slogan “SHIKSHA ZAROORI HAI, AGYANATA ANDHAKAR HAI” which we use in workshops we convey the same message to the above groups and we find enthusiasm for the same amongst them. We go from place to place doing plays and street campaigns so that the correct message can go to people, that awakening is information. “JAGRUKTA HI JANKARI HAI” is a slogan which is becoming a boon for the children in the villages and the slums. We are confident that through this method we can see reform in the status of education in India—by this we have been successful in raising the literacy rates especially in rural and slum areas. This is increasingly becoming a characteristic of the education system; “PADHNA ZAROORI HAI”; or in other words, ‘It is a must to study’; something that heads towards including all children. Massege “Gyan aur shiksha sathi hai to aao chale school kyonki “padhna jaroori hai”
